What does the future of food look like for communities of color in New York City?
“Everyone Eats” is a short documentary series that showcases the cultural and agricultural methods NYC’s Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) are using to combat food apartheid and food-related injustices that impact their neighborhoods. This is a celebration of the food justice movement’s butterfly effect on the liberation of Black and Brown people. Together, we will uncover how food apartheid lines developed in NYC and what New Yorkers have to say about it. For generations, Black and Brown leaders have given testimonies, marched, and and created co-ops to bring us into a future of food equity. Let’s find out how today’s food justice advocates fit into the tapestry of food justice and food sovereignty history.
